There were so many things at Whitney and Michael’s wedding on Saturday that make a day more than just fun and so beautiful to photograph. Mini grilled cheeses sandwiches, a relaxed bridal party, a birthday singing for Grandpa, a wedding gown that gives just enough struggle for funny expressions, coordinating paper straws hand selected by the bride, live music, plenty of bride and groom PDA, a caricature artist, a candy snack bar, amazing lighting, plenty of 90’s rap and a hint of Miley Cyrus on the dance floor, and a wonderful sense of happily ever after in the air. This whole smorgasbord of wedding merriment took place at the Mastercraft building downtown. This was my first time shooting a wedding there, and as long as Whitney and Michael are there, I would do it every weekend. It was like we had our own wedding island and we had everything and everyone you’d need to kick off this marriage. Between the amazing food and high humor attendants, I basically had to force myself to go home.
