So I had never taken Jill or Kyle’s picture before their wedding day, which is rare. I try to make it a point to harass my brides and grooms with my camera before the big day, but it didn’t work out that way this time. So I wasn’t sure what to expect once we got started, but there was no delay in how comfortable and easy they were to photograph.  And this extended to their entire wedding party and their families. Surprisingly, all day long people were EXCITED for me to take their pictures, not doing that duck out of the frame maneuver. Another fun surprise was to see the Scoular Ballroom (where I’m lucky to shoot at frequently) all jazzed up beautifully and in a new unique way.  A few more unexpected perks for photographing were snazzy socks, adorable and dance happy nieces and nephews aplenty, classic glass Mountain Dew bottles for a refreshment , and a couple with an uncanny ability to welcome in a strange (I admit it) photographer and give me countless things to capture, laugh at, and dork out about.
