Blogging feels like journaling for the world at large. I take pictures, then I write about pictures, and the madness that was going on at the time of said pictures. And I share that with you folks. Blogging in a nutshell!

I will remember you…

Sep 23, 2014

I don’t know if Shawna and Russell will remember their odd photographer in 10 years, but I have a feeling I’ll have a hard time forgetting a lot about their wedding day. The brides party was more than willing to jump on the bed during their getting ready, maybe it was because of the not so subtle encouragement from myself and the flower girl… I will remember how we had to use bolt cutters to cut off Shawna’s new earrings to put in her dainty wedding ones, and how their wedding rings were blessed and passed around to their friends and families before the ceremony. Or how Shawna rode side saddle up to the aisle on her dad’s motorcycle before they both marched down to Russell. Or the epic group wedding selfie that perfectly got everyones wedding jitters back under control.  I’m guessing the munchkins (and the photographer) won’t soon forget the smores on the deck… and I doubt I’m the only person who will remember how much birdseed the newlywed couple ended up wearing after they were drenched by their guests.  There was also an unforgettable sunset in the gorgeous Platte River State Park. However, I’m certain that they will remember how they laughed through their entire wedding day, because almost all of my pictures are of them chuckling together. I guess that’s worth filing in the long term memory folder. Thank you Shawna and Russel for letting me laugh and make memories along with you on your big day! Enjoy your sampling…

You were awesome. I have not had that much fun taking pictures for a wedding. Jumping on the bed was awesome. It felt like you knew all of us.
