When Michael first asked Kari on a date she was too shy to actually go out with him and backed out. Fortunately Michael persisted, and after a date that included “the worst-movie-EVER” they learned that they shared common interests and values. By the end of the night they’d had a great time together in spite of the disastrous movie.
One of the values that both Michael and Kari have is family, and that was so evident on their wedding day. Several times throughout the day I saw Michael and Kari holding one of their 15 nieces and nephews, dancing with the little ones, or letting them sit on their laps and play with their phones. It was a family party all day long – beginning with getting ready in Kari’s parent’s amazing barn, to dancing the night away at the reception together. Kari’s sister delivered an epic toast consisting of her advice in the form of 90’s rap that won’t soon be forgotten, and all 15 flower girls/ring bearers performed perfectly for the ceremony. (A modern day miracle? You decide.)
Congratulations Michael and Kari!
