I love nicknames. I could go a whole day and not actually call my children by their given name, but more along the lines of shorty, sweetness, goober face, number 3, your highness, etc… But Kim and Matt have me beat. Even their parents are in on it! My favorite for sure, is Matt’s name for Kim. Buns a matic! You can’t beat that! So much that I think I will try to find a way to morph it into something I can use on my kids. You also can’t beat a bunch of friends in coordinating clothes, matching smiles, senses of humor, and taste for quick sarcasm in your wedding party. Or gorgeous wedding weather. Or huge new party bus to get us all to a fabulous dance party at the German American Society. One thing that was missing a name was the out of this world beef they served at dinner. I asked one of the GAC’s employees what they called it, and she wasn’t sure. I’m thinking of suggesting “worth killing the guy sitting next you” beef, or “don’t let the neighbors know your making it again” beef, or lastly “it’s still worth eating if it fell on the floor” beef. See, I’m getting better at this nicknaming game, and thank goodness for some inspiration from Matt and Kim’s delicious, long anticipated, princess/star trek wedding. Yeah, come up with a name for that:) Enjoy the sampling!
